Meet Justin Wong

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist |  California and Texas

Are you a young adult struggling with big life transitions? Have you been feeling worried or down a lot? Is it challenging to find meaningful relationships? Do you feel stuck?

Hey there, I'm Justin, LMFT in California and Texas.

If any of these questions hit close to home, know that you're not alone. Navigating the complex nature of life, especially as a young professional, can feel like you’re just running on a hamster wheel.

Relationships, balancing work, family, and personal life—sometimes these important elements just don't seem to fall into place, leaving you feeling stuck in a loop of frustration. The day-to-day can start to feel pretty hopeless.

Men often find themselves wondering how to appropriately feel when it comes to expressing and valuing their emotions. Whether it's a lack of emotional support in your earlier years or the deep-rooted acceptance of a narrow definition of masculinity, it can lead to unaddressed anxiety, anger, or depression. The good news? There's a way forward, and you have the power to make things better.

Through therapy, I’ll help you process the difficult things going on in life and discover your true self. We can work together to build the confidence you need to navigate life's changes and gain a genuine understanding of your emotions. If you’re willing to put in the work, I can promise that you’ll find self-discovery, empowerment, and a life that aligns with who you truly are on the other side.

My Approach

I approach therapy through the lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is founded on the interconnectedness between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, recognizing that these aspects form a dynamic interplay shaping your experiences. By exploring and reshaping negative thought patterns, CBT empowers you to cultivate healthier emotions and behaviors.

In therapy, we work collaboratively to identify and challenge thought patterns that might contribute to feelings of anxiety, depression, or other emotional challenges.

For example, you might be struggling to find a healthy relationship. Through CBT, we would explore and address any self-limiting beliefs or negative thought cycles related to romantic partners. By reshaping these thoughts, you can begin to experience a shift in emotions and, then, in behaviors.

CBT focuses on understanding your thoughts and actively transforming them to create a positive ripple effect on your emotions and behaviors. When applied with the tools of therapy, it’s a powerful way to help you break free from patterns that are preventing your growth.

If you’re ready to take the next bold step, I'm confident that you can find not just a way out of feeling stuck but a way towards a more fulfilling and authentic life.
