Individual and Couples Online Counseling Tailored For Your Unique Needs

Ever felt like life is going faster than you can keep up? Have feelings of depression or anxiety crept up on you?

If you’re here, I’m sure you’re wondering how therapy might be able to help you.

The good news is that you’re not alone. You weren’t meant to go through life’s challenges alone. You were meant to have a support team behind you, and therapy is a great place to start developing that team.

If you're facing a significant life change, feeling down or worried, or just experiencing a bit of turbulence in your relationships, let’s talk about how we can help you.

Therapy for Life Transitions

Life comes with a lot of changes. And these changes can often make us feel off-balance and disconnected

Some common transitional times that people seek therapy during:

  • Career Transitions: Changing jobs or navigating job loss

  • Relationship Changes: Going through a breakup or divorce, adjusting to a new romantic relationship

  • Life Transitions: Becoming a parent, empty nest, adjusting to retirement

  • Relocation: Moving to a new city or a new cultural environment

  • Health Challenges: Coping with a chronic illness or disability, recovery from surgery or a major health event

  • Loss and Grief: Dealing with the death of a loved one, or another significant loss, like the end of a friendship or the loss of a pet

  • Identity and Self-Discovery: Exploring personal identity and values, life transitions related to gender identity or sexual orientation

  • Financial Stress: Managing financial difficulties or sudden changes in economics

  • Educational Transitions: Adjusting to the demands of higher education, transitioning from school to the workforce

Seeking counseling during transitions like these can help you:

  • Develop coping strategies to manage the stress, anxiety, or sadness that may accompany significant life changes.

  • Identify patterns of thinking and behavior that may be hindering your ability to adapt to change.

  • With self-discovery to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your values, and your aspirations.

  • Set realistic and achievable goals during times of transition, creating a sense of direction and purpose.

  • Manage stress to promote mental and emotional well-being.

  • Make healthy decisions.

Together, we will help you find and establish your new normal

Anxiety & Depression

Feeling extreme worry and sadness are common emotions that we all go through at periods in our lives. But sometimes, these emotions become overwhelming to the point where they are interfering with daily life.  Therapy can help you get through this time by giving you the space to process, learn, and heal.

In therapy, you’ll learn how to

  • Understand triggers that contribute to anxiety and depressive symptoms.

  • Explore the root causes of anxiety and depression, which may be rooted in past experiences, trauma, or unprocessed emotions.

  • Recognize and reframe negative thought patterns, promoting healthier and more positive thinking through cognitive restructuring.

  • Regulate your emotions.

  • Build coping strategies like relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, and stress management skills.

  • Have self-compassion. Learning to treat yourself with kindness can be a powerful antidote to the negative self-talk common in anxiety and depression.

  • Identify and challenge negative beliefs that hold negative beliefs about yourself or your future.

Premarital counseling is a proactive investment for a thriving relationship.

Couples Counseling

The truth is that if your relationship feels off, you’ll feel off. Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You may ask for a Good Faith estimate before scheduling a session.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
