Meet Pak Poon
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, M.H.A. | California and Texas
Are you feeling overwhelmed by life’s changes, struggling in your relationships, or finding it difficult to navigate stress and emotional challenges on your own?
Life transitions, anxiety, relationship conflict, and emotional disconnection can leave us feeling isolated, stuck, and uncertain about what to do next. While these experiences are a natural part of being human, you do not have to navigate them alone.
Hi, I’m Pak P., LMFT. I provide therapy for individuals and couples navigating anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and emotional challenges, with a specialized focus on men’s mental health, high-performing professionals, and culturally informed care.
For couples, whether you are dating, engaged, or married, I focus on improving communication, strengthening emotional connection, and helping identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck in recurring conflict or disconnection.
Therapy is a space to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and build the confidence to move through life with greater clarity, awareness, and intention.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is tailored to your unique experiences, relationships, and goals. I integrate psychodynamic therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to create a thoughtful and personalized therapeutic experience.
Psychodynamic therapy helps us explore how past experiences, unconscious patterns, and early relationships may be shaping your current emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we work to better understand the deeper roots of recurring struggles, including anxiety, emotional disconnection, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) focuses on emotional connection and attachment within relationships. In couples therapy, EFT helps partners identify negative cycles of interaction, improve communication, and build more secure and responsive emotional connections.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feeling stuck in repetitive patterns, therapy can help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where meaningful and lasting change can occur. Seeking support is a sign of courage, and I look forward to being part of your journey.
